Implants and Prosthetic
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small screw that is made of titanium or titanium alloys and zircon. A dental implant is placed into the bone where the tooth root is placed. Long-term research has shown that titanium is very well tolerated by the body. The use of these devices is usable for more than 30 years.
Methods of dental implants
1. replacement of one tooth with implant
- One tooth is completely missing with its roots.
- Implant replaces the roots of missing tooth and it makes a support for a crown
- Healthy adjacent teeth do not need to be grind and remain unaffected

2. Replacement of more than one tooth with implant
Two or more teeth are missing. To prevent bone loss and damaging of placement of other teeth is functionally and medically necessary to close up gaps quickly.
- Possible solution is a bridge attached to the implants
- Advantage is that the adjacent teeth do not need to be grind and remain unaffected
3. Completely toothless jaw
The upper or bottom jaw (or both) is competely toothless.
- it is possible to fit complete denture(s) on several dental implants
- An alternative is to fix a denture on two or three dental implants, this denture can be removed during the oral hygiene (it clicks on and off)
- Both solutions offer greater stability and comfort than ordinary, conventional denture

Prosthetic
There are many methods to consolidate fixed prosthesis. These techniques have a wide range of applications and can also vary due to cosmetic procedures, which is applied by the appearance of the face and teeth.
Crowns
Dental crowns are an artificial replacement crown part of the tooth that is attached to the worn tooth stump. In essence, it is the smallest denture. Dental crowns can replace damaged teeth, which remained intact, vital or endodontically treated root.
Veneers
Dental veneers are wafer-thin shell of tooth-colored dental materials that can be sued to cover crown tooth to improve its appearance. These dental veneers or porcelain raisin uses composite materials and are specially designed to be safe and without any additives or toxins that could irritate the gums and other parts of the mountain.
Bridge
Dental bridge is a partial replacement of teeth. Dental bridge is fitted with metal crowns, or other device to the surrounding healthy teeth. Dental bridges are made in those cases where it is necessary to replace one or more missing teeth and can not do it with an implant.
Onlays and inlays
Onlays and inlays are similar to fillings in that they fill cavities and gaps in the tooth. However, like crowns, they are custom made in a laboratory and then attached to the tooth with special adhesive. Onlays and inlays are very strong and are suitable for the grinding surfaces of molar teeth. They can be made out of gold, porcelain or composite material.
